Packing your Suitcase

Packing your Suitcase | Packing your Jacket | Folding your Shirt

Packing your suit is an art, when mastered you are left with a suitcase that contains all your critical items while keeping your clothes fresh and without creases to tackle every occasion.

Though there are a variety of ways to pack your suitcase remember that the most important thing is to prevent suits and jackets from getting crushed.

When carrying two suits, lay the first jacket at the bottom of your suitcase, front side up. Check ourjacket folding tipsto see how to fold the second suit, placing it over the first.

It’s a good idea to stuff rolled up socks or underwear in the shoulders of the suit to prevent them from becoming completely flat. When carrying two suits, stuff one shoulder with the shoulder of the other jacket.

Now fold your pants along the pant crease, placing them underneath the front chest of the suit. This allows the jacket to retain its three dimensional shape preventing it from being pressed flat together.

This is followed by folding the sleeves and lower half of the jacket over the chest. For the best result stuff the collars and sleeves with tissues so they retain their shape.

Now that you are almost done, pack your shirts and pullovers in the upper half of the suitcase. Place your shoes around the bottom of your suitcase with socks and ties rolled in them to save space. This ensures your shoes don’t slip when the suitcase is upright.
