The Windsor Knot.

Windsor Knot | Four-in-hand Knot | The Pratt Knot

The Windsor Knot is ideal for wide spread shirt collars, with its wide and triangular knot that provides a bold and confident look. This particular knot is ideal for men with longer necks as the wider knot tends to shorten the perceived height of the neck a bit.

Face a mirror and place the tie across your neck as indicated, keeping the wide end of the tie to the right. Arrange the tie so that the wide end hangs a foot lower than the narrow end.

Place the wide end across and over the narrow end of the tie, towards your left.

Pull the wide end under the short end crossing it again and pulling it to your right.

Pull the wide end upwards, the back of the tie facing you.

Pull the wide end through and under the loop that has been formed.

Pull the wide end across once again to your left.

Once again slip the wider end upwards between loop and collar.

Bring the wide end, through the loop and pull downwards once again.

Tighten the knot and make minor adjustments and you are done!
