Four-in-hand knot.

Windsor Knot | Four-in-hand Knot | The Pratt Knot

The Four-in-Hand knot results a sharp narrow tie that is ideal for a standard collar. What makes this knot popular is the simplicity in tying the knot, which is why it is also called the schoolboy knot. The resulting knot is small and asymmetric in shape.

Face a mirror and place the tie across your neck with the longer wider end to your right, keeping it a foot longer than the narrow end.

Cross the wider end across the narrower end, pulling the wider end to the left.

Pull the wider end under the narrow end and loop it pulling it back to your right.

Loop the wider end over the front of the narrow end once again, pulling it towards your left

Slip the wide end under the loop, pulling it up through the loop that is formed.

Slip the wide end down the front, while holding the loop already formed with your index finger.

Pull the wide end taut and you are done!
