Dressing for interviews.
The tie.
Select a subtle silk tie with a fine uniform pattern. Fine stripes, small dots, or simple and small patterns are ideal. Select a tie with a pattern that is smaller than that of the suit and long enough that it comes up to the middle of your belt. Avoid patterns that are same as that of the jacket or shirt.
A colour that blends with a dark suit is ideal. A tie of medium width neither too narrow nor too broad will complement your attire. A rule of thumb is to select a tie that is similar in width to your coat’s lapel.
